The award, comprising a trophy and a citation, was instituted by the Mumbai Press Club. Sreenivasan Jain of NDTV was presented 'Journalist of the Year' award. Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief of Times Now, was honoured with 'Impact Editor of the Year' award.
