Authoring, in the most straight forward sense is
writing a book or content.
What type of Author can I become?
Depending on your areas of interest and specialization you can author books on
various subjects like technical, spiritual, philosophical, motivational. If you
write poems, may be you can get a collection of those also printed. The scope
of authoring can be taken as liberally as possible.
How can I become an author?
There are two ways of becoming an author, either you approach the publisher with
an idea or the publisher approaches you. If you are not a renowned person in
your field, it is better for you to be proactive and approach the publisher
yourself with an idea and see how the discussion progresses.
Also, you can keep an eye out on various forums of your area of interest. Many
times, the publisher or editors post their requirements for an author, which
you can follow up.
