Nursing is a noble profession and also a profession well in demand across the world. This is the reason that is one of the highly job-oriented course which provides a promising and rewarding career with ample opportunities not only within India but also abroad. With increasing population and less number of students inclined towards this field, the job is becoming more promising especially with respect to employment opportunities.

Developed countries who have very few students turning up towards nursing have huge demand for trained and qualified nurses. The ratio of students pursuing Nursing in developing countries are relatively more in comparison to the developed nations. To work abroad, some of the chief requirements are:

- Qualified degree / graduate or post-graduate degree rather than diploma ones
- Proficient in English language (IELTS/TOEFL)
- Clearing the entrance examinations conducted by the specific countries before appointing the nurses.

Students can add value to their career profile by specializing in subjects like child health, public health etc.
