What do you think our company could do better or differently?

An interviewer asked me, what do you think our company could do better or differently. Is it OK to answer this type of questions in a straight forward way? Would it not offend the interviewer?

Dealing with the interview depends upon the manner in which you put across your ideas into words. Effective and innovative ideas are always welcome.

This question also helps the interviewer ascertain your level of interest in the job and company & also your preparedness for the interview. When you are really interested in something, you try to find out more and go prepared.

However, asking for the improvement does not mean for you to get over critical. Do not point out a weakness without a better plan in mind.
