MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (FULL TIME)

Each student comes to FMS with unique professional and personal reasons for pursuing a masters degree in business administration. The first year comprises of core subjects. In the second year you take a decision to specialize in a particular discipline like Finance, Marketing or Systems. You can even decide upon a general management degree.

The intake of this programme for 2011 is 226 participants.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (PART TIME)

The three-year programme is designed to develop conceptual knowledge and behavioral skills in students who continue to work in industry, government or other organizations. This programme has several streams of specialization. Candidates are required to complete the course within 5 years of their admission.

The intake in this programme for the year 2011 is 232 students.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - MANAGEMENT OF SERVICES (FULL TIME)

The two-year MBA (MS) programme has been integrated with the two-year MBA (Full Time) programme and the two have been merged into one prgramme (MBA(FT) with effect from 2011 admissions. However, students admitted to the MBA (MS) programme through the same entrance test as the MBA (FT) programme will continue to pursue the existing MBA (MS) curriculum till the current batches pass out in 2012. MBA (MS) is designed to create Excellence Leaders in the fast growing services sector. First of its kind, it is a regular full-time MBA programme geared towards fulfilling the needs of creating business leaders in:

  • All professionally managed companies in the service sector with particular focus to MNCs who have entered India or are planning to enter India.
  • Indian companies aiming to globalise their services
  • Public systems undergoing privatisation and restructuring
  • NGOs and professional bodies

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION (PART TIME)

The programme and the pedagogical techniques are designed to develop initiative, analytical ability, effective communication & problem solving during situations arising in health services organizations. The specific objectives of this programme are:

  • To provide management education to medical professional and alike working in the field of health services administration.
  • To equip executives concerned with health administration with up-to-date knowledge about management and to develop relevant skills and attitudes; and
  • To prepare them to apply modern management techniques in managing health care services in the country
The intake in this programme in the year 2010 is 37 students.

DOCTORAL PROGRAMME

The main objective of the Doctoral Research in the Faculty of Management Studies is to encourage original work in different aspects of management and to develop scholars who go on to contribute towards its growth through teaching and research.
