    - Maximum amount of pure nickel is used for making stainless steel and alloys.

    - Different types of nickel alloys are as follows:

    1) Inconol: This alloy contains 75% Ni , 15% Cr and 9% Fe. These alloys can be mechanical worked, they have good corrosion resistant. At ordinary and high temperatures they have good weldability.

    2) Monel metal: This alloy contains 66% Ni , 29% Cu and 3% Al.

    3) Nichrome: This alloy contains 60% Ni , 15% Cr and 20% Fe.
