    - Couple is formed due to two unlike parallel, non-collinear forces which have same magnitude. Single force cannot balance a couple and the moment of couple is independent upon the moment centre.

    - The different factors which do not have any effect on couple are:

    1) If couple is shifted to any new position, then it has no effect on it.

    2) If couple is shifted to a parallel plane, than it has no effect on it.

    3) If couple is rotated through an angle, than it has no effect on it.
