    Shortest distance between worm gear and axes of worm is called as centre distance. Therefore centre distance is calculated by the formula:

    Formula: 1) Centre distance = (dw + dg) / 2
    2) dw = m·q and dg = m·zg

    Substituting the given values we get,

    dw = 80 mm and dg = 320

    Therefore,
    centre distance = ( 80 + 320) / 2
    = 200 mm
