    - DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol is widely used.

    - DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a protocol that lets network administrator manage centrally and automate the assignment of an Internet protocol.

    - DHCP is a client/server protocol that automatically provides an IP host with its IP address and other related configuration information such as the subnet mask and default gateway.

    - DHCP protocol is designed to support true dynamic assignment of an IP addresses.

    - In DHCP, permanent addresses are assigned to server computers and it allows non-mobile computer that runs a server software which is assigned with a permanent address, the address will not change when the computer reboots.

    - The DHCP server manages a pool of IP addresses and information about client configuration parameters such as, default gateway, domain name, the name servers, and time servers.
