    - The above diagram given is a tailstock of centre lathe.

    - It is placed at the right hand end of the centre lathe.

    - The main purpose of tailstock id to support right end of the job which is to be machined.

    - It is also can be used to for holding and feeding the tools such as drills, taps, etc.

    - The tailstock is an assembly of various parts such as, tailstock spindle, spindle clamping lever, hand-wheel, off-set screw, etc.
