    Answer:

    4000/-

    Explanation:

    current month payable salary is 6000*7/8=5250/-

    current month payment = 6000/-

    payment of previous month in current month= 6000-5250 i.e 500/-

    now 500 is 1/8 portion of previous month

    so total previous month salary = 500*8/1

    Answer = 4000/-
