    - Cold working process is carried out at the temperature below the recrystallisation temperature whereas hot working process is carried out at the temperature above the recrystallisation temperature. Both the processes are plastic deformation.

    - The grains in metal are permanently distorted in cold working as it does not reaches at the recrystallisation temperature.

    - In cold working process, ductility of metal reduces as compared to the hot working process.

    - Therefore, crack propagation is more in cold working process.
