    Given: Worm gear pair 1/40/9.5/10, Ft = 6213 N, Fa = 9236 N, Φn = 25o & μ = 0.04

    The tangential force acting on worm is equal to axial force acting on worm gear. Therefore, tangential force of 6213 N acts on worm and 6213 N is the axial force acting in worm gear.

    Similarly, tangential force acting on worm gear is equal to axial force acting on worm.

    Radial force acting on worm gear is equal to radial force acting on worm.
