    Given: Force exerted on floor = 800 N, retardation (a) = 2 m/s2

    Formula: Force = m (g +a)

    Solution:

    Force = m (g +a)

    800 = m (9.81 + (-2))

    m = 800 / 7.81

    m = 102.43 N

    Mass of the body carried in the lift is 102.43 N.
