    - Before any project is started we need to plan the project.

    - Project planning is a way for stating how to complete a project within a certain timeframe.

Some of the phases involved in project planning are as follows:

    1. Establish the objectives and scope of the product
    - The most important thing is to establish the objectives and the scope of the project so that we know what worth is the project.
    - The goals are established in this phase.

    2. Identifying deliverables
    - Using the goals that are defined and create a list of things the project needs to deliver in order to meet those goals.
    - Specify when and how each item must be delivered.
    - Add these deliverables to the project plan with an estimated delivery date.
    - This will help to give more accurate delivery dates which will be established during the scheduling phase.

    3. Planning the schedule
    - Create a schedule for the project so as to carry out all the different aspects of the project.
    - Once a schedule is made it can be followed easily.

    4. Making supporting plans
    - This phase deals with the plan that are created as a part of the planning process.
    - They are directly included in the plan.
