    - VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) switching technologies reduces the size of the broadcast domain.

    - It is a broadcast domain that is partitioned and isolated in a computer network at the data link layer of the OSI model.

    - VLAN allows network administrators to group hosts together even if the host are not on the same network switch.

    - Without VLAN, grouping hosts according to their resource needs necessitates the labour of relocating nodes or rewriting data links.
