    - Walkthrough differs from software technical reviews in its openness of structure and its objective of familiarization.

    - It is not a formal process or review technique.

    - It is especially useful for higher level documents like requirement specification etc.

    - Following are the goals of a walkthrough:

    - To present the documents in order to gather the information regarding the topic under documentation.

    - To establish a common understanding and discuss the alternatives of the proposed solutions.
