    - Resistant body is defined as the body which transmits force with negligible deformation.

    - Elastic body: The ability of a body or an object to regain its original shape and size after the applied force is removed is called as an elastic body. For example, spring is an elastic which regains its original shape after being compressed or stretched.

    - Deformation: The transformation of a body from reference configuration to current configuration is called as deformation. If force is applied on any object, it undergoes change in length and if does not undergo any change then it is a rigid body.
