Oracle Architecture A tablespace is used to logically group data together. Tablespace : An Oracle database consists of one or more logical storage units called tablespaces, which collectively store all of the database's data. Datafiles : Each tablespace in an Oracle database consists of one or more files called datafiles, which are physical structures that conform to the operating system in which Oracle is running. Database : A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated. Object : Oracle Database does not supply predefined object types.
