Classroom coaching is associated with the long term skill development of an individual. Coaches are those people who offers inspiration and guidance and heighten the abilities of others through motivation and support.

The Socratic philosophy of teaching has set the stage of coaching over 2400 years ago. Eduction plays an important role in the overall development of an individual especially in a country like India. The Indian Education System is growing tremendously and the Indian Coaching system is its integral part.

Yes – Class room coaching should be preferred over e – learning.

1.Exchange of ideas – Classroom training is an interactive session and provides a platform for exchange of ideas. Students can raise questions and exchange ideas with one another and turn the class room into a valuable learning medium.

2.Interaction – Classroom learning is usually a two way communication process. It is an interactive session as students can have a direct face to face interaction with professor and their class mates. Classroom learning encourages active participation and is often known for its multi sensory appeals.

3.Socialize – Class room learning provides two levels of socialization – between students and students, and, between students and professors. It provides a kind of social interaction with one another. The interaction helps the students to develop not only in terms of academics but also in terms of personal issues. Students and professors come from different social and cultural backgrounds. Thus, this difference can enhance the communication and socialization skill of a student.

4.Fewer technological requirements – One faces fewer technological requirements in a classroom learning when compared to e-learning. There are students who face an issue with the computer and other technical knowledge. Classroom training helps the students to overcome these problems very easily.

5.Sense of belonging – Being a part of a classroom gives you a sense of belongingness. A student becomes more responsible when he is in a class room environment. He becomes aware of his surroundings and becomes conscious about his belongings.

No – Class room coaching is not preferred over e – learning.

1.Size of classroom – Class room encourages passive learning as there is only one teacher and many students. Students do not raise questions or clear their doubts when they loose their confidence. In such situations, the bright students might dominate the class rooms.

2.Ratio of student and teacher – As there is one teacher and many students, it is difficult for the teachers to pay attention to each student individually. This may weaken the confidence of the shy or less brilliant students.

3.Accessibility – Schools and colleges are found in the urban areas and are closed at certain times. For few people, this may cause an inconvenience.

4.Lack of critical thinking – Class room training does not promote critical thinking among the students. Students gain knowledge but they do not understand how, when and where to apply that knowledge. It does not provide the students with a deeper understanding about the matter.

5.Little time for practice – In a classroom training, a teacher has to deliver a huge number of concepts and theories and they rush with the syllabus so as to complete them on time. This gives less practical exposure to the students. Class room training is limited only to presentations which are delivered by the teachers. Practice is given as homework.

Conclusion

With the advent of e – learning, class room training is losing its importance in the education system of most parts of the world. The term class room learning brings to mind, the image of a class room with one teacher and many students. Though students experiences a lot of fun, they also sometimes, faces certain limitations.

  • Good Afternoon Everyone,
Myself Soumen Maity. According to me there is both advantage and disadvantage for each process.

In case of class room coaching: There is one teacher and many student. Among them some students are intelligent and some students are not so much intelligent, so when a question arise to those students mind who are not so much intelligent, they hesitate to ask that question because they thought that if there question is not so smart then it could create a hillarious situation so in that case they can't be cooperative.
Where in e-learning each student get chance to learn individually and they can clarify it by read the topic again and again.

Again in case of e-learning there is not so much scope of interaction and discussion which is happened in class room coaching. So if there is any problem on a particular matter which can be solve by only discussing then class room coaching is a better option.

Again class room coaching some time create noises, So some times it is not a good environment for learning.

So according to me both class room coaching and e-learning is needed.

  • Good afternoon everyone

I will go in favor of class room coaching i.e., it is much better than e-learning although in the scenario of digitization e-learning has deepen root everywhere but it still can't replace the effectiveness of Class room coaching. In class room coaching we share our ideas with other students, which may have better concepts than yourself, involvement of more minds results in more doubts related to that particular topic, it build up socially too as face to face interaction is also preferred. In class room teacher can focus more on every student.
All these things lack in e-learning. Along with this for e-learning you require extra net pack too which every student can't afford, in e-learning there is one teacher and number of students are many, so teacher is not able to give his time to all online students properly.
So for me till now e-learning is not that much developed to take over class room coaching.

  • Good Evening,
In the status quo, cut throat competition requires specialization to get into esteemed colleges, institutions and organisations. One is always stuck in the studies with a scope for more improvements. E learning which has recently emerged and became popular is reasonably advantageous in the today's scenario. You get up in the morning, struggling through the sleepy mornings, commuting to the school building to attend lectures. You miss a lecture because your English teacher is absent. You are disturbed by misbehaviour of naughty students. You are not able to raise your doubts out of fear of being laughed at. When you walk back to home, and think that the exams are approaching, you evaluate that your days at school are not proving to be productive enough. So you can resort to E learning where you can get all the lectures on your virtual rack with an option of subjects and teachers specializing in it as per your own comfort. Nowadays education via internet is becoming popular and aspiring candidates are switching to such sources rather than going to a class room. It leads to efficient time utilization and the same can also be customized as per the requirements of the student. In such an inflationary economy its a cost effective method of studies and also saves energy by substituting for commuting for reaching classroom. Children can focus more and can also get attention for their personal doubts that contribute to the growth. But the option cannot replace the overall merits of classroom education. Classroom is rather a social platform that do not only accounts for the mental growth of the students, also contribute to the social and physchological development of a child. It prepares a child for independently make way in the dense problems of life. It helps to learn to interact and creating a healthy work culture which leads to regular upgradation. Also it creates a sense of belongingness among the children and they are able to enjoy along with studies in a playful manner. It motivates and directs children towards achievement of their personal and social targets. Hence a classroom can provide all the benefits that e learning can provide. But E learning is not a substitute for classroom education as it lacks moral reasoning, ethics, social interaction, motivation and a sense of belongingness. Hence e learning is advantageous more where the approach is more career oriented but classroom education is required for the complete overall growth if a child. So the education that is efficient more is within a room with benches seated by students repeating lessons in unison.

  • Class room coaching is always better over e-learning. E-learning is an aid, a toolin support of the physical coaching given in the class rooms. We cannot relyon e-learning completely to replace the class room coaching.

Class rooms are not just the place to read and write, but it provides the children an exposure to the outside world. Children learn to communicate and interact with the fellow-mates. They learn disciple and way of primcipled and civilized living in a social community. Class rooms provide an exposure to practical implications of the written texts. It helps the children to learn to work as a team. Class rooms are not mere bookish rooms, instead it is the first step towards personality development for the children.

Life doesn't gets wind up in a few clicks of computers. there is lot to learn in the physical world. Children have already forgotten the values of playing outside and interacting with the friends in person. Their life is bound to a latest gadget, which makes them lonely even in a crowded place. e-learning would further increase this attitudein children and they would eventually fail tounderstand the importance of social interaction, community behaviour, and social behaviour.

Hence, we should not let the e-learning to replace the only open mode of interaction for the children as of now. Let he class room education take an upper voice for a better future generation.
