Quality is a myth in India.

Quality is one of the parameter which we all look out for in every product we buy. We are ready to spend extra amount of money in order to get quality of products.

For

- In today’s time it is hard to find quality in Indian products.
- We have a mentality that if a product is expensive it will be of good quality but somewhere we are proved wrong.
- Everyone is busy in making money and filling their pockets by charging high prices for every commodity irrespective of the quality of product they are offering.
- Companies making fake products with low quality are also deteriorating the image of India.
- Due to the increase in corruption the quality has become a myth in India.
- Be it food, water, education, the list can go on and on but we won’t be able to find any single sector which is giving a quality product.
- We are turning towards western countries for quality goods which in itself is an indicator that India is not producing quality products to match up the customers standards of quality.
- Due to some social, economic and political problems we are not able to produce quality in our products.
- In Global scenario, why are other companies gaining Indian market? It’s due to quality. Many of us are using Indian TV's, shoes, clothes, and other accessories.

Against
- Few years back quality was a myth in India. But as the disposable incomes of Indian’s and consumer protection concerns are increasing, buyers are getting more aware of the quality of product.
- May be today the Indian manufacturing entrepreneurs are using traditional but now with a growing population and huge investments, India is on the forefront of economic reforms and liberalization.
- There are consumer forums to hear the problems of consumers related to the quality issues. They can file a complaint if they are not satisfied with the quality product or if someone misguide them relating to the quality of product.
- People are buying branded products as they assure them the best quality.
- There are many awareness programs running over TV channels, Radio channels, on the hoardings to tell the customers that they should check the quality standards like ISO, SIX Sigma, AGmark to ensure the quality of products which they are buying.
- Due to our quality of work many MNCs are setting up their manufacturing firms and centers in India.
- There are many sectors in our economy like IT/ITES, apparels which are the major contributors in their field.
- Government is striving hard to bring quality in the supplies which they are providing to population of the country.

With the increasing population it is sometimes hard to provide quality products to every individual. Somewhere we really need to work on the quality standards which every company or organization is using to provide any service or product to their customers. It is also our responsibility to stop buying low quality products and start using good quality of products by investing little more.
