Accenture Campus Placement - Procedure and Information

Accenture is one of the top IT firms in India and does mass recruitment each year from different colleges offering fresher level job to the final year students. The recruitment process is a fixed pattern that the company has been observed to be following.

The student, who wishes to apply for Accenture, should have a good academic result from Secondary School Certificate onwards. The Secondary and Higher Secondary result should be at least of 60%.

The student should not have any back papers at the time of application. B.Tech or MCA graduates from any institute recognized by UGC are also eligible to apply. The student should be a
regular fulltime student and must have good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills along with the command over technical course.

It is observed that the recruitment process has four steps. The first one is a written test which is conducted by Accenture representatives. The candidate has to clear this test in order to qualify for the other rounds. Each student gets different questions, but as of the same pattern and type. The time duration for the test will be an hour. There are no negative marking for the wrong answers.

The written test would include questions from verbal reasoning, quantitative and logical reasoning i.e. aptitude and analytical reasoning and a technical section. The verbal reasoning section would include questions related to reading comprehension and Basic English grammar. In the technical section candidates can expect questions from topics such as Programming, Java & Advanced java, Computer networking, Oracle apps and Dot net etc.

The next is the group discussion round. The candidate is given a topic and is given 15 to 20 minutes to discuss it with the group members.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the written test and the group discussion round will have to undergo two rounds of interview, the technical round and the HR round. In technical round of interview, the student can expect questions from their area of interest. Questions would also be asked on the project done by the student.

The last HR round would be a face to face interview to analyse the student’s behaviour, personality and interpersonal relationship. It would be like a stress interview. Different situations would be given to the candidate to judge their reaction to the situation and the also see their patience to handle the problem.

In order to clear the campus interview the student must prepare for it in advance. Students should keep in mind to dress appropriately.
