Self discipline is the key to better and safer traffic

Self discipline is the key to better and safer traffic

Nagpur and Traffic, these two words are closely related to each other. The city is known for its unmanaged traffic system. It is the same story for many other Indian cities. The traffic police is there to keep the traffic streamlined. However, the scenario still remains dismal. As the vehicular population is on rise, it seems that the citizens have to contribute to keep traffic safer. They have to work in coordination with cops to minimize accidents. Do you think that self discipline can lead to better and safer traffic?

Yes

• The complete responsibility cannot lie on the traffic police as no matter what, the police to vehicle ratio will always stay low.

• Rights and duties go hand in hand. If the people want the rights then they need to fulfill their moral duties first.

• It is said that every drop forms the sea. So, people need to get rid of the attitude that one man’s efforts cannot bring a change.

• Most of the accidents occur as the people are in rush and don’t pay any attention to the traffic rules.

• Self discipline in any area provides a better control on the way we react to situations. It always brings positive results.

No

• Self discipline cannot solve all the problems. The government needs to set up proper traffic system.

• Taxpayers pay their hard earned money so that they can get the right facilities at right time in different areas.

• The government should focus more on the concept of flyovers that can greatly reduce the problem of traffic.

• The traffic cops should do their duty sincerely. They should be proactive to take any strict action against the offenders.

• If the roads are occupied by the street shops, then government should take actions to shift the hawkers to other area.

Conclusion

It is not possible for the traffic police to look after each and every individual vehicle. It should be a collective effort. If the people can follow a bit of self discipline, it can significantly reduce the traffic chaos in various cities. Government will provide the various facilities. And along with that the drivers should take the responsibility to drive carefully.

  • Drop and drop makes a river - we all have heard this but when it comes to follow every one of us thinks that what can i do alone. We all blame government for each and every thing.
Self discipline is a way by which we can bring some change in ourself and then only in society. In india most of the accident occurs due to the overspeed or drinking while driving.
In india it is impossible for the traffic police to look upon each and every vehicle. So if we are self disciplined then we can reduce accident upto 50%.

  • Self discipline is definitely important to maintain the traffic regulations within the city. With the increase in the vehicular traffic, it is really important for the traffic police to control the wholesome traffic, as it used to be the story earlier. The traffic signals installed can help the traffic alignment, however, it is not going to stop the one breaking the rule.

Looking the other way round; the traffic police in the city, even when posted are busy summoning challans at the road side instead of aligning the traffic. The traffic alignment is seen more as a duty of the non-living signals installed. These signals are often found out of order and non-functioning. In such a scenario, only self-discipline of the people could help the smooth traffic flow.

The one who breaks the traffic rules not only lands himself in trouble, but some innocent people abiding to the rules also get hurt. For a smooth traffic in the city, self-discipline could be the soul key factor to maintain the safety norms.
