Tata’s ‘Vistara’ – a requirement or an undue projection?

Introduction

The Tata Sons and Singapore group joint venture full sized carrier and the luxury airlines is set to be launched by October this year. Vistara is the name pronounced to call this a ‘limitless expanse’ is looking forward to repeal the 5/20 rule of the airlines industry. When our own airlines industry is already undergoing so much of financial deficit, is it justified to look for a step ahead in the luxury, instead of repairing the existing concerns and deficits. Is ‘Vistara’ a requirement for our country or is just a showcasing of the exaggerated repute?

Requirement

- Our Air India deficit has nothing to do with the launch of Vistara.

- The luxury is meant for the common man and it is in no way involving any contribution from the Government.

- The Tata’s luxury airline is an International aircraft which is definitely going to add fame to our country.

- Enhancing our approach in a field is the need of the hour. We have to compete with the world and we cannot keep ourselves backward just to overcome the deficits.

- Tata cannot combat for the Air India concerns, which need to be handles and taken care of by the respective airlines. ‘Vistara’ should not be withheld for this reason.

An undue Projection

- Tata group is from India and they can definitely help in overcoming the Air India concerns with their financial aid.

- ‘Vistara’ is no requirement for the Indians. People of our country are already happy with the existing luxury. It is human tendency to seek for better proposal, but there can be no end to that greed.

- ‘Vistara’ looks forward to redefining the existing rules of the aircraft industry which is no good.

- The luxury airline is in its last phase of the licensing process. With its receiving the license, we would need to redefine our agendas and priorities regarding this undue portrayal and existing concerns in the aircraft industry.

Conclusion

Though our aircraft industry has some internal concerns and financial turmoil going on; still the private airline of Tata cannot help in the regaining the structure of the existing airline. In such a scenario, launching ‘Vistara’ is definitely an additive for the image of our country which should be supported. The luxury aircraft with its new set of aircraft rules can do much well. Let’s hope for the best to come and look ahead for the luxury travel.

  • The corporate picture of India is changing. Now longer the air travel comes in the luxury. In fact it has become a major source of travel for the mid-level employees. It is better to change with the change otherwise you are left out in the race.

It is the same case with the Tata’s Vistara. Opportunities are always there in market. The need is only to match the demand with supply. People are always ready to pay if they get services. And all these luxuries can be fulfilled with Vistara.

The new airline is expected to fly by October. It is called the right start of a project. Tata’s have carefully selected the launch timing of their flight that falls near Diwali season. Tata Group always wanted to make a comeback in the aviation industry. They have started the Air India long back in 1932. It got nationalized in 1953. Tata’s have helped Singapore Airlines in its start. So, clearly the group has got the expertise to make a place in declining air industry. The one step towards success can help out the entire airline industry. It will give stiff competition to Air India which is again a good thing. After all competition brings the best and eliminates the losers from the industry.
