Internet security is a much bigger issue than it seemed few years back. Consumers want to access information at one touch and companies want to provide the flexible services to meet the demand. The industry is launching several apps, more functionality in mobile devices, fast speed and many other services. Yes
• Hackers have leaked passwords of more than 5 million Gmail users. It is an open challenge for tech companies.

• The stolen pictures of stars Kate Upton and Jennifer Lawrence reflect the existing flaws in iCloud accounts.

• Compromising iCloud account passwords of celebs is the problem of the tech companies and cannot be attributed to crypto.

• Apart from technical issues, the staffs of tech companies are indirectly involved in the unethical issues.

• Many e-tailers companies and others security walls are attacked every now and then. It is just because hackers know the weakness existing in structure.

No

• Even when there was no internet world, there were cases of physical theft. It indicates that no matter how strong security is, some problems cannot be avoided.

• No system is perfect and has some flaws. Tech companies intentionally don’t leave loopholes in security system.

• Tech companies works on reputation and if reputation is lost business is lost. Therefore, they take all the measures to safeguard clients’ information.

• iCloud technology is the latest inclusion in tech-world and it takes some time to make the new system soundproof.

• The real security should be analyzed in terms of bank accounts and financial information where as of now no major problem is reported.

Conclusion

The word ‘Security’ is the key word for tech companies, and they cannot ignore it any cost. The problems are there in system and tech companies have to accept it. They need to take all the measures to keep the accounts, information and passwords secure and safe. Consumers trust the companies and if once the trust is gone, business is gone.

  • Consumer privacy and security has become a major concern of late now. Every now and then we come across news of the user accounts being hacked and critical information being stolen. This is because the company's don't give enough importance to consumer privacy and security. They haven't yet deployed effective measures to actually keep security breach under control. They are busy making their business and earning profits. For them, their profits are the first priority and then anything else. On the other hand, it is the consumer who ultimately has to suffer due to the lack of privacy and security measures. Therefore, the company's are the main culprits behind activities like hacking, etc.

  • Considering the discussion regarding the importance of consumer security on company’s agenda, it is definitely doubtful, whether the consumer safety holds any place in that. This is an era of aggressive marketing and every company is keen in increasing their turnover and earn more and more profit. In the race of the greed for power and money, we can hardly hope to find any importance for the consumers’ privacy.

The security concern had been an issue for a long time now, but we cannot deny the fact that the same has increased multi-fold following the usage of online transactions in the form of purchases, or online banking and investments. Every site has developed certain set of steps to be followed as the privacy measure and have a security check, but the companies definitely fail to analyse the genuineness of the check at certain intervals.

If the tech companies do have any importance to hold their customer’s security and their trust factor, they should ideally keep updating themselves with the technological developments and that too from the hacker’s point of view. The security checks need to be cross-checked at periodic intervals and should be remoduled in order to have a counter-check.

All these measures on the company’s side could find any relevance if at all they pay any importance to the security of the privacy check of their customers. People should also realize that everything doesn’t comes with ease. If there is comfort beyond the limits, then there definitely stays a cost for it. More of the luxury definitely calls for the threat to the privacy. But, it is an acceptable fact that consumers’ security and privacy remains on the all-time low priority on company’s agenda, which should be checked at the earliest.
