GATE score - admissions in foreign universities & MTech from IIT vs MS from foreign

Do foreign universities admit candidates on the basis of GATE score

Yes, foreign universities do take in candidates on the basis of GATE score. Most of the German and Singaporean universities ask for GATE score especially from Indian candidates.

* Nayang Technological University, Singapore
* National University of Singapore
* Technical University of Munich, Germany

Which is a good option – M.Tech in IIT or MS in a foreign university?

To get admission in M. Tech. in an IIT has become much more tough. To get a seat in IIT, you have to achieve a good GATE score. GATE is conducted only once a year. But on the contrary, to take up MS from a foreign university is much more easy if you can manage the fees.

But at the same time, quality of education is high in IIT. It gives you good exposure. The job placements in IIT are mostly into MNC's (Multi National Companies) like Google, Amazon, etc. As for MS, if you have good academic as well as good GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) scores, it will be easy for you to get into a foreign university.

If you need a good and comfortable life with a more money-making job, then go for MS in a foreign university.
