- Almost all HDTV broadcasting standards has 720p format with resolution of 1280x720.

1080p:

- 1080p is characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution with progressive scan.

- The aspet ratio is 16:9.

- The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels (2.1 mega pixels).
