Good politicians are difficult to find in India

Good politicians are difficult to find in India - recognition of a serious problem or bunkum

Lately, Salman Khurshid has stated that its difficult to find good politicians in India, has hit the nail right on its head.

For:

- With the emergence of the new generation political leaders have made a mark and have enthralled the constituencies on their own
- Some of the new generation leaders have augmented to national eminence and are being talked about as impending prime ministers justifies this view
- They are not only leading in the new ways but are also making it sure that they are re-elected amongst the public

Against:

- Street protests, amassing to Anna Hazare’s call are all the ways that the common public is using to vent out its anger and betrayal, which clearly states that the state is unable to live up to its expectations
- The main reason for this is that we do not have a good politician class amongst us. Corruption is a major drawback for our country
- The old convention of caste and religion and tapered unsophisticated benefits are expeditiously slackening their control on the inhabitant’s mind and the new archetype of aspiration and economic mobility demands for a good governance which is missing in our country
- Today also the politicians take politics as it was in the 20th century, but they do not realise that they are in the 21st century, which is known as the information century
- The entire system has been impaired of quality and efficiency and that is one of the major reasons that the good and the deserving candidates do not wish to enter politics

Conclusion:

- Although the trend is changing gradually, but there is no denying that India lacks good politicians. Until the entire trend is being changed, the progress is going to be slow and people will not be able trust them completely.

  • Seeing the current scenario of our country, it can be said that yes it is difficult to find good and honest politicians in India. The basic and the most important cause behind this is illiteracy. Most of our politicians are not educated properly and are illiterate. Education is the bare minimum qualification which any post requires. Without education a person cannot take the right decision, leave alone deciding on the matters of economic development. Secondly, the picture of corruption is our country is so vivid that no one is spared from it. Most of the times the main aim for people to join politics is to earn a lot of black money. They work for their selfish and personal needs and involve themselves in all sorts of illegal and corrupt activities. Only at the times of election they show their faces to the public, promising great deeds but then soon after that they disappear. Seeing this picture throughout our country it can only be said that good politicians are difficult to find and a big change is immediately needed in our country.

    • In today’s scenario, we are seeing common man’s blatant feelings of anger and betrayal manifesting in various ways like street protests, people congregating to Anna Hazare`s call, being seduced by Maoist oratory or simply having a deeply cynical outlook about Indian politics. This clears the picture that India is very badly in need of good politicians.

    • Somedays back Mr. Khurshid has admitted that good people stay away from politics.

    • The problem with our present leaders is that they are barely highly educated.

    • Political leaders in India are working with the own selfish purpose and not working towards the development of the country. When they need votes they appear in front of the people. And as soon as elections are finished, they just vanish. They only concentrate on power, money, above all, their own. They have made the entire system corrupted.

    • Due to the current state of politics where there is inequality and inefficiency many good and deserving candidates don’t wish to enter politics.

    Against:
    • There is no dearth of good politicians in India. There are some new generation political leaders, who have worked hard and emerged as successful chief ministers in major states in their own right. They were able to retain the goodwill of the electorate and hold on to power for a second or third or sometimes even for a fourth term.

    • In recent years the achievements of these popular politicians have been so substantial that they have been able to reverse trends favouring anti-incumbency.

    • Some of the new generation leaders have augmented to national eminence and are being talked about as impending prime ministers.

    • They are not only leading in the new ways but are also making it sure that they are re-elected amongst the public.

    • There are good politician in India but due to the lack of knowledge and our negligent attitude towards the voting system doesn’t let the rightly deserving candidate win. So we are left with criminal and bad persons as our leaders. It is our responsibility to vote for the right candidate then only India will have good politicians.

  • I dont think that good politicians are difficult to find in India. What we are seeing now a days is this that the politicians that we are facing are not good in some of the aspects. What we need to do is to bring the youth in this field as our country is producing number of talents in various fields. so why not give a chance to the youths of india so that we can see some growth. AS experience in the field of politics is required much so we can have mixtures of politicians by adding some youths who can use their fertile brain in growth of india and our old politicians who can guide the youths to bring the change. So in a manner it will be a complete package of both young and old politicians.
