What qualification do I need to become a beauty care expert?


With the work environment getting increasingly tougher each day educational qualification is an important aspect in this field. A candidate aspiring to become a beauty care expert must be minimum 10th pass. He should understand the concepts well and should be able to apply them as per the instructions. As technology has spread its roots in everything possible, one has to be technically sound to make a career in this field.

Cosmetology on the other hand, requires 12th pass candidates with science background also it requires a bachelor’s degree in science. The plus point of this field is that there’s age-no-bar rule, so any one can choose this industry as a career option.

What remuneration can I expect after becoming a Beauty Care Expert?


At an entry level, you may get anywhere between Rs. 5000 to 12,000 as an intern. But after you grow in the industry and gain experience, you can get associated with big brands which pay you between Rs. 20,000- 35,000. People associated with fashion industry working on per day basis charge around Rs. 8,000-15,000 in fashion houses, photo shoots, fashion shows etc. It even ranges from Rs. 3,000-10,000 per makeup per day in film industry, television etc.

These days Makeup artist are charging as between Rs. 5,000 to 50,000 or more for a single bridal make up, and the pre- bridal packages range from Rs. 10,000 to lakhs.

So, there’s a lot of money in this industry, you just need to work right and build contacts with the right people.
