Are you ambitious?

Are you ambitious?

You can say that I am very ambitious in the way that I don’t like to get to get a feeling of stagnancy. I want that I should always be getting new experiences and learning new things.

  • Being ambitious is good for you and for the organization you are going to be working for unless you are overwhelmed while answering and in the process give a hint that you would be looking for better opportunities and might even switch job when a better offer presents itself before you. Keeping this in mind, your answer should moderately show your dreams and aspirations along with a clear message that you are sincere towards your commitments and would not be wandering off their hands anytime soon.
You are ambitious in a positive way (from the interviewer's point of view) when you are focused towards working harder, keep on improvising, and put in all your efforts at giving the best at work. Looking for growth prospects within the organization is also a positive thing but you are ambitious in a harmful kind of way when all you can think about is better position, better salary and later, a better company. The company is not spending resources and time in hiring someone who would be gone soon in search of another job.
"Yes, for me being ambitious defines the reasons why I get up each morning and dedicate the day towards being more productive and constructive at work. Stability in a good organization is a good thing for my ambition and I would always prefer growth within the company in years to come."
