BPCL Selection Procedure


BPCL is an abbreviation for the much known Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. BPCL is an Indian Oil and Gas Company. The headquarters of Bharat Petroleum is located in Mumbai.

The eligibility criteria for getting selected into Bharat petroleum involves you to be from an engineering background. You should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in all the semesters while you complete your 4 year graduation course that too in first attempt. The candidates should have chosen any of the below mentioned streams to be eligible for the selection,

• Fire engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Computer Science Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

If you have to apply for a post in Human Resource or Marketing Department you need to have a MBA Degree in HR or Marketing from any recognised educational institute. You should get 60% marks in the first attempt itself to qualify yourself for the position. Along with the educational qualification, you should not exceed more than 30 years of age.

The selection procedure for Bharat Petroleum involves of a written round followed by a medical round and lastly the personal HR interview round. The written test round is usually conducted online and is a multiple choice question. The questions depend upon various streams chosen by you in your engineering background like chemical, mechanical and electrical.
The written test attracts negative marking of 1/4th marks for every question that will be wrong. Once you successfully clear this round you will proceed for the next round that is the medical round.

The next round is that of the medical round. In this round, you are supposed to go for various check - up like eye check - up, blood pressure and many other tests. If you clear all the tests of the check - up then only will you proceed for the last and personal HR round of interview.

The last and final round is that of the Personal HR round of interview. The purpose of this round is to judge the technical knowledge, confidence, body language and communication skills of the candidate. The questions on this round cover the details mentioned in your CV along with questions based on educational and personal background.
