Established in 1919, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, US, Cummins, Inc. is an American corporation that designs, manufactures & distributes engines, filtration and power generation products. The company also services engines and related equipment, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission control and electrical power generation systems.

Here, I am going to discuss the selection process of campus placement at Cummins.

Selection process at Cummins

Cummins recruitment process has two rounds,

1. Technical Interview
2. HR Interview

Technical Interview Questions asked at Cummins

The first round is Technical interview where questions are based on Mechanical engineering such as automobile and IC, thermal and other engineering drawings, turbocharger, friction, combustion, elasticity, fracture and fatigue, fluid flow and CFD.

Also knowledge on CATIA software, which is generally used for designing in automobile companies, will be an added advantage, as there are certain questions based on this software as well.

1. Do you know about J1939 communication protocol?

2. Explain the different cold drawing processes.

3. What is heat treatment and why is it done?

HR Interview Questions asked at Cummins

The final round is HR interview. In HR round, several basic questions are asked to candidate based on their academics and personal things.
