What is the eligibility criteria to get into Journalism?


• You have to go for a bachelor’s degree or a post graduate degree in journalism or mass communication to pursue a career in this field.

• There are a number of universities and institutes offering training in journalism.

• Minimum eligibility for Bachelor degree in journalism is 10+2.

• Post graduate degree courses are after you complete a Bachelor degree in journalism.

• Some institutes also provide one year certificate courses in journalism.

• There are also courses in particular areas of journalism like sports, television, photo, press law etc.

• Specialized training or experience, fieldwork or internship is a must to enhance your prospects.

• You cannot expect to become a journalist just by doing a training or a degree, but you must also have the talent and the ability required in this field.
