Entrance exam to study Veterinary Science

Which entrance exam do I need appear in to pursue veterinary sciences?


All India Common Entrance Examination-All India Pre Veterinary Test
Also known as AICEE-AIPVT, the test is conducted by Vocational Council of India. AIPVT is conducted in the month of May, every year. The duration of B.V.Sc. and A.H. is 5 years which includes a compulsory internship of six months of duration. The duration of the exam is three and a half hours and is based on physics, chemistry, biology and English of 10+2 level.
Eligibility for the examination is as follows:

- Indian residents except Jammu and Kashmir residents are eligible to appear in the examination for Bachelor in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. and A.H.).

- The candidate should be 10+2 or equivalent with and should have pursued last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least one course in core English from a recognized board or university. A candidate who has appeared in 10+2 and is awaiting the results is also eligible to apply.

- A candidate requires a minimum of 50%, aggregate in physics, chemistry, biology and English. A candidate should not be less than 17 years of age, as on December of the year of admission are eligible.
