Entrance exams and universities for a course in HRM

What qualification do I need to become a Human Resource Manager? Are there any Entrance Examinations conducted for admissions in HRM? Also mention the examination for universities outside India.

To become an HR you need to complete your 12th grade with minimum 50% marks and must have a graduate degree in any stream from a certified university. After that you need to do a Post Graduate programme or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in HRM from a recognised university.

Most of the colleges conduct entrance examinations such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT etc. You will have to qualify the entrance exam first and also the second round of selection which is Group Discussion and Personal Interview. A common list is prepared in which cumulative scores of students are mentioned based on their performance. The students who qualify are called for counselling, and hence joining formalities begin.

For universities outside India, you need to appear for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). You can also appear for GMAT during the final year of your graduation or after you’re done with your graduation, whichever way you want. After you get your GMAT scores you need to apply to universities of your choice. Universities select students on the basis of their GMAT scores and also other aspects like your Academic record in past, scholarships, educational and co-curricular achievements, awards and recognitions and so on. Some universities also need TOEFL and ELTS scores, so you need to check the requirements thoroughly and seek an expert advice before taking any step.
