This is a prepositional phrase, which means - with the exception of / except for / besides.

`Other’ is always used with `than’ and not `then’.

E.g.

Other than her eldest sister, all the sisters went out for a jaunt.

Or, This shirt is nice, other than the color – it does not suit my skin.
