Placement opportunities after rural management programme from IRMA

What are the placement opportunities for Programme in Rural Management (PRM) from IRMA?

PRM graduates from IRMA are valued by cooperatives, NGOs, government development agencies, and national and international donors engaged in promoting rural development. All these bodies are willing to make effective use of young and well-trained professional managers. There is a campus placement that happens over 5 days organised by the Campus Placement Office during the 5th term in second year of PRM. The jobs offered to IRMA graduates vary widely. The job offers are in areas such as planning and information systems, production management, marketing, finance, accounts, human resource development, rural development, and natural resource management.

IRMA ensures a good and handsome salary package to its graduates. There are more than 650 organisations that are listed by IRMA that are designated for the purpose of placement of its graduates. The list keeps growing every year with organisation that can offer careers to IRMA students. This placement policy is only for the students who are not sponsored but only to internal candidates. The salary package received by candidates is decent and they get 100% placement. Now it depends from individual to individual to choose the organisation they want to apply into. Some prefer to join grass-root level organisations, even though these offer relatively low salaries, over other high-paying jobs due to the greater challenge thrown at them by these jobs. There is also a provision of IRMA fellowships for the students who join low paying but highly relevant jobs in the rural development sector.
