Public Health Cadre should be restructured like specialized services

India has got a poor health system. And the weakness of the system is passed on to the citizens of country. It seems that it is the high time to look after the resurrection of public health services. The many people suggest that the healthcare system should be restructured as per the lines of specialized services like IPS or IAS. It is the only right way to resurrect the public health system in the country. Do you agree with the suggestions?

Yes

• The medicine costs are escalating and the gap between the haves and haves not is widening. The need is to look after the matter in professional terms.

• The number of health care units in India is numerous but the fact is that they lack the appropriate diagnostic and health services.

• If the supply of resources is inadequate, it ultimately has a negative impact on the most important resources and that is human power.

• Talk about the economic costs of poor health, and even a novice can say that it huge. So it is not possible for anyone to ignore the present condition of the system.

• The best inspiration comes from Tamil Nadu that has got a well structured public healthcare system where the services are at par with the costs incurred.

No

• India already possesses a bloated bureaucracy system that will worsen by restructuring the public health system on lines of specialized services.

• The country is spending huge amount of money on maintaining the system, and the new set up will incur more cost with no benefits.

• The resources that goes wasted in the restructuring can be used in other meaningful ways like providing the existing systems with the latest machines.

• It is necessary to create a body that can check out the corrupt practices going on in the existing system.

• Just making a system never brings benefit. Benefits only come from proper planning and implementation of the entire process along with the right allocation of resources.

Conclusion

Public Healthcare System of India needs significant changes. It can be done only by making significant changes at the base level. It is not that the government is not spending money on the system. It is spending a lot more money on the systemt still the results are not showing up. It is first essential to know the problems existing in the system. Until and unless they are not addressed, no system can prove successful.

  • Public Health Care in India are definitely in a bad shape and they do require restructuring. Still, before going ahead with some more expenses in this field, we need to check the prevailing loopholes and try our best to seal the same.

Government is already spending a lot for these health services and they should have been functioning a lot more smoother with comfort for the common man. if we are facing so many problems with the public health care, we need to check out for the root cause, that starts up with the corruption, ineffective planning for the usage of available funds and either inappropriate implementation or non-implementation of the drafted plans.

If we can rectify our prevailing loopholes, we will definitely save a large portion of the fund that is being pumped up by the government towards this sector. This fund can be used in restructuring the Public Care Services, thereby avoiding further burden to the government and people in the form of taxes.
