What is the remuneration that I can expect in Archaeology?


• A student of Archaeology starts earning as soon as he completes graduation.

• A JRF gets a salary of Rs.8, 000 per month for a period of two years.

• Once you are promoted to a Senior Research Fellow (SRF), your pay package increases.

• The basic pay of an assistant archaeologist is in the range of Rs10, 000 – Rs15, 0000.

• The pay packet of lecturers is around Rs.20, 000 per month whereas as a professor you can earn an even higher pay.

• As a Director General of the Archaeological Institute you can earn a salary up to Rs30, 000 per month.
