This is with reference to your complaint letter dated February 25, 2014 regarding adding late payment charges of Rs 500/- in your credit card statement.

We have checked our records and would like to confirm that your last payment was received well within the time limit and hence you are not liable to pay any late payment charges. We would like to apologise for this inconvenience. This was purely due to system’s error and shall not be repeated in the future.

We have reversed the late payment charges of Rs 500/- which were erroneously billed and a rectified credit card statement is attached for your reference.

We apologise for this error and would like to confirm that we treasure our association with you as our esteemed customer.

    This is regarding the complaint made by you regarding the billing error of your credit card dated 10th March 2014. We thank you for being alert and reporting us the error in the bill. We apologize for the billing error.

    After receiving your complaint, we thoroughly investigated the matter and found that you were right regarding the mistakenly typed extra digit in the bill.

    It so happened that our online billing system was shut down due to some technical updating of the system. During the process, all bills were hand typed and that led to the mistake in typing from the person in charge of the billing.

    We have canceled the erroneous bills and shall soon be sending you the corrected bill. Until you receive the right bill from us, you need not worry about the payments. We declare that you shall not be charged any late fee for the delayed payment of this bill as it was entirely our fault.

    Please accept our apology for the billing error with an assurance that it shall not be repeated in future. Thank you being a valued customer at XYZ bank.
