Should Grievance Redressal training be made compulsory for the managers?


Accountability for ensuring the effective and timely resolution of employee grievances is an explicit part of the responsibilities and performance objectives of line managers and senior management. The responsibility to encourage employees to resolve grievances informally or through the formal grievance process is on the line managers. Resolving the issues at the local level through the informal procedure; follow-up and monitoring and keeping adequate records of the process is necessary. Hence, the company is responsible for ensuring that all those accountable for grievance handling are fairly trained in dealing with employee grievances.
