Dermatologists assess the affected skin areas and then take scrapings and samples such as tissue sample and blood samples to test and examine the disorders of the skin. Dermatologists do consultation to the outpatients, visits the hospital inpatients and also does the surgery for the acute disorders if need is.

Dermatologists have an advantage to work both as a part of multi specialty medical groups or they can work alone as solo practitioners.
