What is the pattern of CAT exam?


CAT exam consists of two sections. There will be 30 questions in each section.

In section A, questions are asked from Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation while section B consist questions from Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

Can the candidate choose the section he want to attempt first?


No, a candidate cannot choose the section that he wants to attempt first. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation is the first section while Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning is second section. Each section is allotted with fix time i.e. 70 minutes. After the end of first 70 minutes the screen of the computer will automatically show the second section.
