Terms of Use

Welcome to CareerRide. These terms are an agreement between you and CareerRide Info, Pune, Maharashtra, which runs careerride.com ("CareerRide", "we", "us"). Please read them before you use the website, because using it means you accept them.

1. What CareerRide is

CareerRide is a learning website for students and job seekers in India. It offers practice tests and mock tests (aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, technical subjects and more), video lessons, articles, interview questions, downloadable ebooks and career guidance, including preparation for campus placements, TCS NQT, MBA entrance and similar exams. Some of it is free. Some is part of a paid plan, the CareerRide Pass, and some ebooks are sold separately.

2. Your account

• You can browse most of the site without an account. You need one to take tests, save results and bookmarks, or buy the CareerRide Pass.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or use CareerRide with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
• Give us correct information and keep it up to date. You can sign up with your email and a password or with your Google account.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password safe. Don't share your account or let others use it. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into it.
• One person, one account.

3. Free and paid plans, and ebooks

CareerRide has a free level and a paid plan, the CareerRide Pass. What each includes is shown on the Pricing page and at checkout. As of the date above, plans start at Rs. 199 (the CareerRide Pass is Rs. 199 for 1 month) and include topic-wise tests, full and sectional mock tests, detailed solutions and explanations, the video library, score certificates and fresh questions on retakes. Detailed solutions and explanations are available only to CareerRide Pass holders. Features and prices can change. We will not change the price of a period you have already paid for.

• Payments. Payments are handled by Razorpay, a licensed payment gateway. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST, which is shown separately on your tax invoice. Your use of Razorpay is also subject to Razorpay's own terms.
• One-time payment, no auto-renewal. Each payment is a one-time payment that buys access for 1 month from the date of payment. Plans do not renew automatically, and we won't charge you again unless you choose to pay again.
• No cancellation, no refunds. A plan can't be cancelled once paid for, and payments are non-refundable, except money taken from you in error. Details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
• Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies to purchases made after the change. It does not affect a period you have already paid for.

Ebooks

CareerRide also sells and gives away ebooks (PDF files). These terms apply to them as follows:

• Price and tax. The price shown for an ebook includes GST. A tax invoice is available in your account and a receipt is emailed to you after payment.
• Account needed. You need a CareerRide account to buy or claim an ebook, including a free one. Bought and claimed ebooks are kept in My Ebooks, and access stays linked to that account.
• Download limit. Each ebook can be downloaded a limited number of times from your account (currently 5). Opening it to read online in your browser also counts as one download. If you reach the limit, contact us and we will help.
• Personal use only. An ebook is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial study. You must not copy, share, upload, forward, sell, lend, publish or print it for others, or remove any notice from it. The copyright stays with CareerRide or its licensors.
• No refunds. Ebooks are digital goods that you can download as soon as payment is confirmed, so purchases are non-refundable, except money taken from you in error. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Free samples are available on many ebook pages so you can check the content first.
• Misuse. If an ebook is shared or distributed in breach of these terms, we may withdraw access to it and restrict the account concerned.

4. Practice tests and the test engine

• Tests may have a time limit, negative marking, a limit on retakes, a waiting period before a retake, and shuffled question and option order. These settings are shown for each test and differ between tests.
• Your answers, time per question, score and attempt history are saved to your account so we can show your results, review pages, performance reports, certificates and, where offered, percentile and leaderboard positions.
• To keep scores fair, we monitor test sessions for signs of unfair practice, such as unusually fast answers, switching browser tabs or windows, or the mouse leaving the test window. An attempt can be marked as suspicious, and we may reduce or cancel its score, hide it from leaderboards, withhold a certificate, or restrict your account. If you believe a decision is wrong, write to us and we will review it.
• Don't use help from other people, bots, AI tools or search during a timed test unless the test says that is allowed.
• Certificates show your score on a particular CareerRide test. They are not issued by, or endorsed by, any employer, university or exam body.

5. Content and accuracy

We work hard to make questions, answers, explanations and articles correct, and we review them regularly. But exams, company hiring patterns and syllabi change, and errors can slip through. Content is for learning and practice. It is not professional, legal, financial or career advice.

• We do not promise any score, rank, selection, job or admission.
• Names of companies, exams and institutions (for example TCS, NQT and others) belong to their owners. CareerRide is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Our questions are practice material written in the style of such exams and are not the real exam papers.
• If you find a mistake, please report it using the report option on a question or by contacting us. We will review it.

6. Acceptable use

When you use CareerRide you agree not to:

• copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, sell or share our questions, answers, explanations, videos, articles, ebooks or other content, other than for your own personal, non-commercial study;
• use bots, scripts or automation to access the site, take tests or collect data;
• share your login or the paid content with other people, or resell access to it;
• cheat on tests, create several accounts to get around limits, or manipulate scores or leaderboards;
• try to break into, overload, test the security of, or interfere with the site or other users' accounts;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights;
• send spam or unsolicited messages through the site, or use it to harass others;
• pretend to be someone else, or give false information about yourself.

7. Intellectual property

CareerRide and everything on it, including the name, logo, questions, answers, explanations, shortcut methods, videos, articles, images, designs, software and the way they are arranged, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to view and use the content for your own learning. Nothing here gives you any other right. If you believe something on CareerRide infringes your copyright, write to us at the contact below with details of the material and your rights, and we will look into it.

8. Your feedback and reports

If you send us feedback, suggestions, error reports or other content, you allow us to use it to improve CareerRide without payment or credit to you. Don't send anything you don't have the right to share.

9. Third-party services and links

CareerRide uses services from others, such as YouTube to play videos, Google to sign in and to show ads, and Razorpay to take payments. It may also link to other websites. We don't control those services or sites and aren't responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what you do there. Ads shown on CareerRide come from advertisers, and we don't endorse what they offer.

10. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using CareerRide at any time and ask us to close your account. We may warn you, limit your access, or suspend or close your account if you break these terms, cheat, misuse the site, put others at risk, or if the law requires. Closing or cancelling a paid account does not entitle you to a refund of the unused part of your plan. Parts of these terms that should continue after your account ends, such as those about intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law, will continue.

11. Disclaimers

CareerRide is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty that the site will always be available, error-free or secure, or that content will be complete, current or suited to your purpose. Tests and timers depend on your device and internet connection, and we are not responsible for interruptions caused by them.

12. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, opportunities or exam results arising from your use of CareerRide. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the site will not be more than the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or Rs. 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under consumer protection law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as CareerRide changes. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If a change is significant, we will notify you on the site or by email. Using CareerRide after the change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to sort things out.
