Key Points

Can you trust someone by their looks, their words or a few conversations?

  • A good dress, a confident smile or a big title shows how someone wants to be seen, not who they are.
  • Words can mislead. What a person does, again and again, shows their real intentions.
  • Trust should be built slowly, because real loyalty shows up only in difficult times.
  • Taking time before trusting someone is not negativity. It is wisdom that saves you from avoidable setbacks.

Can You Trust Someone by Their Looks?

Every day you meet new people. Classmates in school and college. Neighbours in your society. Coworkers in office. At election time, new parties appear every few months, each with big promises. And there is no shortage of self-proclaimed gurus with an impressive look and perfect words.

So ask yourself: can you trust someone by their getup, their looks or a few good conversations?

Honestly, no.

I tend to take time before I trust anyone. Because whenever I rushed, I faced a setback. So now I would rather take some time and understand a person's actions and behaviour pattern well.

Don't Judge by the Getup

A good dress, a confident smile or a big title tells you how someone wants to be seen. Not who they are.

Listen to Words. Watch Actions.

Anyone can say the right things. What people do, again and again, shows what they really mean. A coworker who promises help but disappears at the deadline has already told you everything.

Let Time Do the Testing

Trust should be built slowly. Real loyalty shows up in difficult times, not easy ones. Give people time, and watch who stays.

Careful Is Not Negative

Taking time before trusting someone doesn't make you negative. It makes you wise. It saves you from pain you never needed.

So be open to people. Just don't hand over your trust on day one.

Trust is earned through actions.

And proved over time.
