The Census method includes the studying of the entire population. It involves all the elements of the population. There are certain limitations of this method which include a lot of money being wasted and it also requires a huge task force. For example, to collect the population census of various countries, this method is used. Case studies helps to discover the answers which are related to an individual institute, event or a social unit. Under this method, the information is collected through the interviews etc. It generates sufficient and broad information. Case studies are considered to be highly effective in the field of social science and communication. An interview is usually carried out between two or more people or the researcher mails the questionnaire to the respondent. At times, people may ignore the questionnaire or choose not to respond. An interview can be a structured or unstructured one. The questionnaires can be an open or close ended questionnaires. An open ended questionnaire has more than two options or might be subjective whereas a close ended questionnaire has only two options( mostly yes or no).
