There are many sources of selecting a hypothesis such as review of literature, books related to the subject, survey of the existing situation, one's own experiences etc. To create a hypotheses, a researcher has to get deeply involved in the subject matter. There are two logical process that a researcher has to undertake to formulate the thesis – inductive and deductive thinking. Under inductive thinking, the general truth is extracted from a specific one whereas, under deductive thinking, the researcher reasons out a specific truth from the universal truth.
