There are four main steps which are required to be followed in a media research methodology. The sequence of the steps are as follows :

Data Collection – It includes primary or secondary data of collections. The researcher should go through the important material that are available in the books. He should carry out case studies or interviews, if required.

Writing the paper – In this stage, he should pen down the research question or the working thesis. It gives a reflection of the field work that he has carried out during the research process.

Finalizing the paper – A revision of the rough draft is essential in this stage of research. The researcher should create a proper bibliography and revise the paper for any grammatical or spelling error.
