Job opportunities in telecom sector

I have completed B.E. Electronics and want to get into telecom sector. Kindly update regarding any related job prospects for me in telecom sector.

Telecom sector is a fast growing sector with lots of opportunities coming in. With more and more private operators, the opportunities are increasing for the qualified and talented individuals. We can check out three main types of opportunities for the related engineering profile, viz. Telecom Engineer, Network Engineer and Product Designers. These profiles could be entered into as a Management trainee or Assistant Engineer. The selection procedure is based on written test which include the technical aptitude, general aptitude and numerical ability; followed by technical and personal interview.

- Telecom Engineer – This profile demands candidates who can resolve customer concerns at the earliest. Other responsibilities include meeting project deadlines, commissioning of sites, preparing estimates and selecting the equipment and vendors etc.

- Network Engineer – They are responsible for setting up sites, configure, install, monitor and address the network concerns

- Product Designers – They are the ones who manufacture telecom equipment. Candidates are expected to have good knowledge of related software like CATIA, Pro E etc for new innovative design patterns.
