Trying to get into a management job after engineering

Asked by: Guest - 15 Apr 16
I did my MBA after engineering. The interviewer asked me if I wasted my 4 years as I was trying to get into a management job after engineering. How should I deal with this?

Well, you can say, it is not a wastage of time; rather it is a shorter span to get into the executive designation in the management of any organization. Being an engineer, you get tied to a specific category of job. Transforming yourself for greater achievements and getting promoted to higher designations takes years, when you enter the organization as an engineer. The same journey not only gets shortened but also becomes interesting when you attain the MBA degree along with the engineering, where you have skill set to take care of and guide along with the skills to handle the team effectively.
